Cursive R r
Capital R: Start at the top line and pull down to the baseline. Go back up the same line, curve out to the right, and come back in at the midline. Curve out and down to the baseline and swing up to join the next letter. Lowercase r: Start at the baseline and swing up just above the midline. Make a small step to the right, pull straight down to the baseline, and swing up.

Stroke order
Tip: Keep the step at the top of r small and flat. A round top turns the r into an n or a v.
Joining: Lowercase r ends at the baseline with a swing up. To join into r, climb a little above the midline for the point at the top, even after b, o, v, or w.
