Lowercase l: Start at the baseline and swing up to the top line. Loop to the left, pull straight down to the baseline, and swing up.

Tip: Make the loop tall enough to touch the top line. A short loop makes the l look like an e.

Joining: Lowercase l ends at the baseline with a swing up. To join into l, swing all the way up to the top line; after b, o, v, or w, start that climb from the midline.
