Lowercase b: Start at the baseline and swing up to the top line. Loop to the left and pull straight down to the baseline. Curve up to the midline, make a tiny loop, and slide right along the midline.

Tip: Make the tall loop open and the bottom round, then end with the little slide at the midline. Without that slide, b looks like an l.

Joining: Lowercase b ends with a short, level slide at the midline, so the next letter starts from the midline, not the baseline. Keep the slide level; do not let it dip down before the next letter.
