Uppercase calligraphy alphabet

Capital calligraphy letters use the same rule as lowercase: thick downstrokes, thin upstrokes. Write them larger, from the baseline to the top line, and keep every capital at the same slant.

  1. Trace the letter
  2. Trace the light letter
  3. Write it on your own

Capitals take more space

Give each capital room. Most capitals do not join the next letter, so leave a small gap after them, except where the letter ends at the baseline and flows into the next one (such as A, C, E, H, K, M, N, R and U).

Practise in pairs

Write each capital followed by its lowercase letter (Aa, Bb, Cc). It trains the size difference and the slant at the same time.
